Opening Day

Cindy and I are going to the home opener for the Washington Nationals tomorrow. I listened to part of the Nationals/Astros game on the radio this afternoon. The broadcasters said to come to tomorrow's game early because of heightened security. Seems that Dick Cheney's going to throw out the first pitch. I guess it'll take awhile for security to check the Vice-President's shotgun.

No doubt after that little crack, Homeland Security will be after your ass, tying up the game for three and a half hours while they search you, raid your house, try to decipher the secret meanings encoded in your short fiction, and run the text of your YA novel through several large NSA computers trying to look for hidden Al Qaida messages for your terrorist buddy handlers.

Enjoy the game... and the hot dogs!

I think they were too busy trying to catch the people at the game holding the "Hey, Cheney - Shoot the foul ball." banner.
